Sarah Torres, MD
Physician and Medical Accuracy Consultant

Sarah Torres, MD is a physician and medical accuracy consultant at Lucimos. Dr. Torres is a primary care physician, board-certified in family medicine, with licenses in California and Colorado. She provides direct patient care across the lifecourse in a variety of settings including a federally-qualified health center, a refugee clinic, and an academic medical center. At Lucimos, Dr. Torres has contributed to evidence synthesis reviews including a systematic literature review related to behavioral health and immigrant health. She also has conducted medical accuracy reviews of health education curriculum and programs with the federal government. Prior to her career in medicine, Dr. Torres developed a health education curricula for diabetes group medical visits that was eventually adopted by a network of federally qualified health centers. Additionally, she provided family planning health education to survivors of domestic violence and trafficking.
Dr. Torres earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Public Health with an emphasis in health promotion from California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Torres proceeded to earn a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Colorado in Denver.
